  1. Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra Workshop

December 13, 2018, 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM @ "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center at Truxtun Park (PMRC)

STRESS causes many illnesses in today's society. Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra reduces the effects of stress by turning off "flight or fight" and turning on relaxation response -- the body's natural healing state. EVERYONE can practice Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra, regardless of age (requiring only you lie still and listen while you are being guided)! Class begins with 10 minutes of mindfulness, followed by 35 minutes of restorative yoga to therapeutically open and relax the body. Restorative yoga will transition into Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra, which is a guided meditation that systematically guides and relaxes you at every level of being, including physical, energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual layers. Instructors: Diane Elliott and Kate Sanford. Participants may want to bring a blanket and eye pillow for comfort.
