REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS – RFQ 22-03

PRE-QUALIFICATION – CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

MAYNARD BURGESS HOUSE – INTERIOR RENOVATION AND ADDITION

The City of Annapolis is accepting submittals of pre-qualification for construction services

until 2:00 p.m., local time, Thursday, August 26, 2021. Qualification packages shall be

submitted to the City of Annapolis Central Purchasing Department, 161 Duke of

Gloucester Street, 1st Floor, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. Late proposals will not be

accepted under any circumstances.

The City seeks to pre-qualify General Contractors experienced in interior rehabilitation and

restoration of historic structures including new bathroom addition; insulation work; new

utilities (electric, water, HVAC and data), structural stabilization; and related site

improvements at the Maynard Burgess House located in Annapolis.

The period reserved for these pre-qualifications is preliminary and prerequisite to issuing

the Invitation to Bid the work for the project. Only those General Contractors and sub-

contractors pre-qualified in accordance with the requirements of this Invitation will be

acceptable as qualified bidders for the work. No submittal of pre-qualification offered

subsequent to this preliminary pre-qualification period will be considered for the work.

Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid conference at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday,

August 4, 2021 at the construction site located at 163 Duke of Gloucester Street in downtown

Annapolis.

The submission documents may be obtained from the Central Purchasing Department via

email to  or fax request to 410-263-8120. Contractors are

encouraged to provide additional information to support their expression of interest.

The City of Annapolis reserves the right to reject any or all responses and to select the

applicants deemed to be in the best interest of the City to bid the work.
