All applicants must authorize the Annapolis Police Department to conduct a criminal background history check. Simply having a criminal history does not necessarily exclude you from participating.
The dates of the Citizen Police Academy are March 7, 14, 21, April 4, 11, 18, 25 and May 2. The hours are 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
As an applicant for the Annapolis Police Department's Citizen Police Academy, I authorize the Annapolis Police Department to conduct a criminal history background investigation. I understand this criminal history investigation is being conducted due to the sensitivity and confidentiality of matters that will be discussed during the Citizen Police Academy. I understand that all available police and criminal records will be checked and information will be used in determining eligibility of applicants. I understand that the results of this investigation may or may not affect my application. By signing and submitting this application, I am confirming that all information in this application is true and correct. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served, basis. Submittal of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Citizen Police Academy.
