My name is Karma O’Neill and I arrived in Annapolis in 1993, shortly after graduating from Roanoke College. I have lived in the Ward 2 community for more than 16 years with my husband of twenty years, Sean O’Neill, and our two children, Carter 18, and Jillian 15.
I have built strong relationships through organizing and leading community activities such as the Thanksgiving Jam, where holiday meals are distributed to more than 100 families. I coordinate the delivery of food to families with extra need during the pandemic through the city’s Food Friday program. I serve or have served on several boards and commissions including Anne Arundel County Public Schools Citizens Advisory Committee, the Germantown Elementary, Annapolis Middle School, and Annapolis High School PTSAs, and Art in Public Places Commission, to name a few.
Like you, I want a comfortable home, a safe place for all of us to gather, play, exercise, and walk to school or work. When times are tough, I want to know that my neighbors have the amenities they need, nourishing food to eat, and knowledge of and access to services available through our city.
I am fortunate that my business, KO Events, allows me the flexibility to help others, and I am grateful for that. As your Alderman, I will always listen to your concerns. I have started a list of issues as I see them, but I look forward to your input as we go forward together.
