In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 102 calls for service and arrested 4 people.
There are no preventable Part One offenses to report this morning. Part One offenses are those incidents we report to the MD State Police and the F.B.I. These incidents include homicides, robberies, burglaries, rapes, serious assaults, and thefts.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Annapolis Police Department will be accepting donations of food for a Thanksgiving Food Drive from 11/01 to 11/22. We will be providing Thanksgiving meals to local families and donating the remaining food to local food pantries. We need 5# bags of potatoes, 2# bags of onions, jars of gravy, cans of cranberry sauce, cans of sweet potato, cans of green beans, bags or boxes of stuffing, cans of cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions. Other items needed are boxed pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, soups and other canned meals, boxed macaroni and cheese, healthy snacks like breakfast bars and dried fruit, and baby food. Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted. You can drop off donations any time at the police department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
Be Thankful - Know Your Limit
Ahead of Thanksgiving the Annapolis Police Department is holding a Know Your Limit event on Thursday, 11/21 from 7pm to 11pm at Market Space. Officers will be on foot near the Market House offering free breathalyzer tests. Volunteer participants will be asked if they feel safe to drive a car, and then blow into a portable breathalyzer. Participants will be told what their blood alcohol content is and given an educational card with information on alcohol consumption and options to get home safely.

No Citizen Fingerprinting
No citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, 12/23, and Monday, 12/30. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 01/06, at 6:30pm. Additionally, no citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, January 20.
