November 1-22 – Thanksgiving Food Drive – 199 Taylor Av
In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 113 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Theft from Vehicle – 201900005541 – 00-99 Rosecrest Dr – 11/06 at 12am to 11/07 at 12pm: Three unlocked vehicles were entered and an auxiliary cord was stolen from one of them.
Stolen & Recovered Motor Scooter – 201900005545 – 1500-1599 Ritchie La – 11/06 at 5pm to 11/07 at 6:45am: A motor scooter was reported stolen from the driveway of a home. Later, officers located the scooter being operated by a male suspect in the area of Brooke Ct and Betsy Ct. Officers attempted to stop the scooter, but the operator dropped the scooter and fled the area on foot. He was not located. The scooter was returned to its owner.
Thefts from Vehicles – 201900005548 – 800-899 Monroe St and 600-699 Americana Dr – 11/07 at 8pm to 11/08 at 4:15am: All four tires and wheels were removed from a vehicle on Monroe St. Officers checked the area and located another vehicle missing all four tires and wheels on Americana Dr. Both vehicles were Honda Accords.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Annapolis Police Department will be accepting donations of food for a Thanksgiving Food Drive from 11/01 to 11/22. We will be providing Thanksgiving meals to local families and donating the remaining food to local food pantries. We need 5# bags of potatoes, 2# bags of onions, jars of gravy, cans of cranberry sauce, cans of sweet potato, cans of green beans, bags or boxes of stuffing, cans of cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions. Other items needed are boxed pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, soups and other canned meals, boxed macaroni and cheese, healthy snacks like breakfast bars and dried fruit, and baby food. Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted. You can drop off donations any time at the police department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
City Offices Closed & No Citizen Fingerprinting
City Offices will be closed and no citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, 11/11. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 11/18, at 6:30pm. Additionally, no citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, December 23 and Monday, December 30.
