In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 97 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
There are no preventable Part One offenses to report this morning. Part One offenses are those incidents we report to the MD State Police and the F.B.I. These incidents include homicides, robberies, burglaries, rapes, serious assaults, and thefts.
Cooking with Cops at Whole Foods Market
This Annapolis Police Foundation event will bring kids from local middle schools to join officers from the Annapolis Police Department for a cooking class at Whole Foods on 11/01. Kids will enjoy making their own healthy entrée and dessert while learning how to make it again for their families when they get home. Sponsor a kid’s participation in this program. Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Annapolis Police Department will be accepting donations of food for a Thanksgiving Food Drive from 11/01 to 11/22. We will be providing Thanksgiving meals to local families and donating the remaining food to local food pantries. We need 5# bags of potatoes, 2# bags of onions, jars of gravy, cans of cranberry sauce, cans of sweet potato, cans of green beans, bags or boxes of stuffing, cans of cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions. Other items needed are boxed pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, soups and other canned meals, boxed macaroni and cheese, healthy snacks like breakfast bars and dried fruit, and baby food. Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted. You can drop off donations any time at the police department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
DUI Enforcement
The Annapolis Police Department will have extra officers out on the roads looking for impaired drivers this weekend. Plan ahead for a sober way home.
No Citizen Fingerprinting
No citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, 11/11. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 11/18, at 6:30pm. Additionally, no citizen fingerprinting will be offered Monday, December 23 and Monday, December 30.
