In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 131 calls for service and arrested 4 people.      
 

Theft from Vehicle – 201900004616 – 00-99 Chelsea Ct – 09/03 at 2:52am: Video surveillance in the area captured an unknown male suspect stealing a blue JanSport backpack from a vehicle.


Attempted Theft from Vehicle – 201900004621 – 1300-1399 Tyler Av – 09/18 at 12pm to 09/19 at 8:45am: An unlocked vehicle was entered, but nothing was stolen.
 
Stolen Vehicle – 201900004622 – 1100-1199 Lake Heron Dr – 09/18 at 10pm to 09/19 at 10am: A grey 2015 Nissan Pathfinder, MD reg. 5DZ7498, was stolen. The vehicle was previously stolen and the spare key which was inside the vehicle at that time was never recovered.
 
Stolen Vehicle – 201900004631 – Peters Way at Bywater Rd – 09/17 at 4:30am to 09/19 at 5pm: A black 2003 Mercedes S430, MD reg. 1CY2264, was stolen. The owner believes he may have lost the key to the vehicle in the area.


 
Family Movie Night
The Greater Parole Community Association, Annapolis Police Department and City of Annapolis Arts in Public Places Commission are hosting two free movie nights, one at Annapolis Walk Multipurpose Center at 1701 Belle Drive Wednesday, 09/25, at 7pm and one at Annapolis Gardens at 250 Croll Drive Tuesday, 10/01, at 7pm. Watch Aladdin at Annapolis Walk and Hotel Transylvania 3 at Annapolis Gardens.


 
La Cultura Cura
Tyler Heights Elementary, located at 200 Janwall St, is hosting an event on 10/08 at 6:30pm. This event is open to the public and will be held in English and Spanish. Mario Ozuna-Sanchez will focus on culture and family and present recommendations on how to better connect with your children and strengthen the family. Annapolis Police Department's Latino Liaison, Joe Hudson, will answer questions about services and issues in the community. Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
