October 8 – La Cultura Cura – Tyler Heights Elementary
In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 138 calls for service and arrested 6 people.
Attempted Theft of Bicycles – 201900004615 – 100-199 Rosecrest Dr – 09/18 at 6:45pm: The adult male victim reported he was exiting his residence when he saw two unknown juveniles riding two of the victim’s bicycles away from the home. They were accompanied by two other unknown juveniles. He yelled at the juveniles and they dropped the stolen bikes and fled the area towards Forest Dr. Officers arrived and a short time later located a group of four juveniles riding two bikes. Two of the juveniles appeared to be the same ones who earlier attempted to steal the bikes on Rosecrest Dr. When officers tried to speak to the juveniles they dropped the bikes they were riding and fled into the 1300 block of Tyler Av. They were not located. The juveniles abandoned a black Hypershocker mountain bicycle and a black and orange Kent Chaos BMX style bicycle. Both bikes were transported to the police station.

Tyler Heights Elementary, located at 200 Janwall St, is hosting an event on 10/08 at 6:30pm. This event is open to the public and will be held in English and Spanish. Mario Ozuna-Sanchez will focus on culture and family and present recommendations on how to better connect with your children and strengthen the family. Annapolis Police Department's Latino Liaison, Joe Hudson, will answer questions about services and issues in the community.
