In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 136 calls for service and arrested 7 people.      
Burglary – 201900004449 – 1000-1099 Norman Dr – 06/09 to 09/09: A storage room was forced open and a multi-colored climbing tree stand was stolen.
Stolen Scooter – 201900004461 – 1100-1199 Tyler Av – 09/10 from 1:30am to 8:30am: A black 2013 Vespa motor scooter was stolen from the driveway of a home.
Thefts from Vehicles – 201900004467 – 1000-1099 Hyde Park Dr – 09/08 at 6:30pm to 09/10 at 5am: Two vehicles were entered. One pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, two pairs of Ray Bans sunglasses and two boxes of white leather work gloves were stolen from one vehicle and a black Snow EX V-Maxx command console, an orange Stihl weed trimmer and an orange Stihl leaf blower were stolen from the other. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicles.

The two movie nights scheduled for Wednesday, 09/11, and Tuesday, 09/17, have been cancelled. They may be rescheduled at a later date.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at
