In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 318 calls for service and arrested 8 people.

Stabbing – 201900004427 – 1400-1499 Tyler Av – 09/08 at 5:15am: At 5:45am officers responded to the 1300 block of Tyler Av for a report of injured person. They made contact with an adult male victim suffering from an apparent stab wound and a laceration to his head. The male victim reported that he was outside in the 1400 block of Tyler Av when he was involved in a fight with an unknown male suspect. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The suspect was not located.

The two movie nights scheduled for Wednesday, 09/11, and Tuesday, 09/17, have been cancelled. They may be rescheduled at a later date.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
