In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 122 calls for service and arrested 6 people.      
Burglary – 201900004130 – 300-399 Bloomsbury Sq – 08/21 at 5:15pm to 08/22 at 9:15am: A window to the home was forced open and the home was entered. Nothing was stolen from the home.
Theft of Bicycle – 201900004138 – 00-99 Cornhill St – 08/21 at 12:05am to 08/22 at 7:30am: A black Trek mountain bicycle with a red backpack on the handle bars was stolen from the rear porch of a home.
Stolen & Recovered Motor Scooter – 201900004140 – 200-299 Garden Gate La – 08/20 at 3pm to 08/22 at 1pm: A motor scooter was stolen from the side of the home. The scooter was found, abandoned, in the unit block of Edelmar Dr.
Theft from Vehicle – 201900004139 – 800-899 Monroe St – 08/21 to 08/22: A wallet and phone charger were stolen from a vehicle.
Theft of Bicycle – 201900004144 – 00-99 Windwhisper La – 08/22 from 5:10pm to 6:15pm: A black and neon green Razor High Roller FS20 bicycle with neon green rims was stolen from the driveway of a home. A black bicycle with white tires and pink handlebars was abandoned in its place.

John Wesley, Mt. Zion and Eastport United Methodist Churches are holding Community Backpack Fest 2019 at Eastport United Methodist Church on Saturday, 08/24, from 10am to 12pm. For more information visit The long running Annual Backpack and School Supply Giveaway in the Oxford Landing community will be held 08/28 from 3pm to 7pm.

No Citizen Fingerprinting
No citizen fingerprinting will be offered 08/26 and 09/02. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 09/09, at 6:30pm.

City Dock Movie Night
The Annapolis Police Department and City of Annapolis Arts on Public Places Commission are hosting a free movie night at Susan Campbell Park at the City Dock on Tuesday, 08/27, from 6pm to 10pm.

Pre-Labor Day Parade and City Offices Closed
There will be road closures on Sunday, 09/01, due to the Annual Pre-Labor Day Elks Parade. Road closures are scheduled between 3pm and 5pm from West St at Amos Garrett Blvd to Calvert St. The First Sunday Arts Festival is also being held on 09/01 from 11am to 5pm. West St will be closed between Calvert St and Church Circle during the event. City of Annapolis offices will be closed on Monday, 09/02, in observance of Labor Day.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at
