In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 292 calls for service and arrested 15 people.      
Theft from Vehicle – 201900004007 – 1900-1999 West St – 08/12 at 8:30am: Money was stolen from a vehicle while it was being serviced.
Burglary – 201900004009 – 1400-1499 Tyler Av – 08/11 at 8:30am to 08/16 at 8:45am: A home was entered, but nothing was stolen. There were no signs of forced entry.
Stabbing – 201900004031 – 1400-1499 Tyler Av – 08/17 at 5:14am: Officers responded for reports of a stabbing and located a 20 year old male victim suffering from multiple apparent stab wounds. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of what initially appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. After the victim was transported to the hospital it was learned that his injuries were serious. Detectives received information from numerous sources identifying a juvenile male as the suspect in this crime. The juvenile suspect was arrested on 08/18 and charged on a juvenile citation with attempted first and second degree murder and first and second degree assault.
Attempted Theft from Vehicle – 201900004032 – 200-299 Porter Dr – 08/16 at 6pm to 08/17 at 7:20am: An unlocked vehicle was entered, but nothing was stolen.
Home Invasion Robbery – 201900004059 – 900-999 Monroe St – 08/19 at 2:20am: The three adult victims reported that they were asleep in the home when two male suspects forced open a door. They confronted the male victim with handguns and demanded money. After being told there was no money in the home the two suspects fled. Officers arrived, but did not locate the suspects.
Pedestrian Accident – 201900004060 – Forest Dr near Youngs Farm Rd – 08/19 at 2:30am: An adult male pedestrian stepped off the sidewalk, into the roadway, and was struck by a vehicle traveling on Forest Dr. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at
