In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 93 calls for service and arrested 6 people.
Theft of Motor Scooter – 201900003818 – 00-99 Silverwood Circle – 08/04 at 9:30pm to 08/05 at 7:40am: A black 2015 Yamaha YW50F motor scooter was stolen.
Pedestrian Accident – 201900003827 – 1000-1099 Norman Dr – 08/05 at 4:50pm: A 54 year old male driver was backing up in the parking lot of an apartment complex when he struck an 80 year old female pedestrian who was on foot in the parking lot. The driver got out of the vehicle when he realized he had struck someone and failed to put the vehicle in park. The driver was also struck and injured by the vehicle. Both were flown to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Theft of Bicycle – 201900003829 – 600-699 Americana Dr – 08/05 from 7pm to 7:30pm: A red and white boy’s 24” bicycle with a white and blue seat and blue lighted front wheel rim and red lights rear wheel rim was stolen from the rear of an apartment building.
National Night Out
National Night Out events have been planned by several communities in Annapolis for the evening of Tuesday, 08/06. National Night Out is America’s night out against crime. Officers from the Annapolis Police Department will be attending events planned for Obery Court, Chambers Park, Annapolis Gardens and Bay Ridge Gardens. If you live in these communities please come and join us and your neighbors. If your neighborhood isn’t hosting an event this year please consider planning one. National Night Out is always the first Tuesday in August.
