August 24 – Community Backpack Fest – Eastport United Methodist Church

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 110 calls for service and arrested 2 people.

Auto Theft-201900003638-1-99 College Ave-Sometime between 7/21/19 at 2pm and 7/25/19 at 1pm a light blue 2003 Lincoln Town Car bearing Florida registration KDDZ76 was stolen.

Theft-201900003628-1000-1099 Monroe St-Sometime between 7/24/19 at 8pm and 7/25/19 at 8am an unknown subject entered a vehicle and removed property from inside. The property included a black and white Trek bicycle and a GoPed Electric Scooter.

Armed Robbery-201900003641-1-99 Melrob Court-On 7/25/19 at approx 10:45am the victim was on foot when they were approached by multiple subjects. Handguns were brandished by the subjects and demands for property from the victim were made. Property was taken from the victim and the subjects fled the area. The subjects were not located by responding officers. The victim was not injured.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
