In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 104 calls for service and arrested 12 people.

Stolen & Recovered Bicycle – 201900003486 – 500-599 President St – 07/16 at 2:35pm: A bicycle was stolen from the rear yard of a home. Surveillance camera footage of the area showed a known 14 year old male suspect stealing the bicycle. Officers located the juvenile in the 1300 block of Tyler Av with the stolen bicycle. The juvenile was charged with theft on a juvenile citation and released to a guardian. The bicycle was returned to its owner.

Annapolis Police Foundation Shop with a Cop
On Tuesday, 07/16, the Annapolis Police Foundation, with the assistance of a Target Public Safety grant, helped Annapolis police officers take 20 Annapolis middle school children on a back to school shopping spree. Officers were paired with children at the Towne Centre Target store where they picked out school supplies and uniforms. Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
