In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 100 calls for service and arrested 4 people.

Burglary-201900002985–Unit block S Cherry Grove Ave.-Sometime between 10am on 6/13/19 and 4:00pm on 6/15/19 an unknown person forced entry into a residence. While the residence was rummaged through, nothing appears to have been taken.

Burglary-201900003010-1800-1899 Bowman Ct.-Sometime between 4am and 10:30 am on 6/17/19 an unknown person entered a residence while no one was home. No forced entry was made and nothing was taken.

Theft-201900003014-500-599 Fifth St.-Sometime between 6pm on 6/16/19 and 10am on 6/17/19 an unknown person entered a yard and stole miscellaneous gardening tools that were left unsecured.

Missing Juvenile – 201900003024 – 1200-1299 McKinley St – 06/17 at 10:12pm: Yahir Tapia, 15, of Annapolis was reported missing. He was last seen on 06/15 around 7 pm in the 1200 block of McKinley St. Yahir is a Hispanic male and he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and white Nike sneakers. Yahir is believed to be voluntarily missing, but we are concerned for his welfare due to his age. Please call 410-268-4141 if you have any information.

Join us for Coffee with a Cop Tuesday, June 18^th from 11am to 1pm at Starbucks 1901 West St. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at the location. The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
