In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 104 calls for service and arrested 7 people.      
 
Theft from Vehicle – 201900002714 – 1400-1499 Stonecreek Rd – 06/02 at 6pm to 06/03 at 9:52am: Money was stolen from a vehicle left with a door ajar.
 
Stolen & Recovered Bicycle – 201900002731 – 200-299 Windell Av – 06/03 from 8:55am to 3:40pm: An unsecured bicycle was stolen from a bike rack. Officers located the bicycle being ridden by a juvenile male in the 1600 block of Poplar Av. The victim did not want the boy charged with theft, the bicycle was returned to the owner.
 
Attempted Theft from Vehicle – 201900002738 – 1000-1099 Baywind Dr – 06/03 from 8:40pm to 8:50pm: An observant caller reported seeing two juvenile male suspects trying vehicle door handles. The vehicle was locked so the vehicle was not entered and nothing was stolen. The suspects were not located.
 
Theft from Vehicle – 201900002743 – 00-99 Old Solomons Island Rd – 06/03 from 7:45pm to 9:30pm: A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.


 
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 06/11, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
