In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 142 calls for service and arrested 12 people.
Burglary – 201900002603 – 1700-1799 Belle Dr – 05/29 at 8:49am: An observant caller reported two male juveniles entering the community center through a window. Officers located two juveniles riding away from the community center on bicycles. They were identified as the juveniles who entered the community center. The 16 year old and 15 year old males, both from Annapolis, were arrested and charged as juveniles with fourth degree burglary. The 16 year old was also charged with providing false information to a police officer by giving a false name after he was arrested. Both juveniles were released to their guardians. It is unknown if anything was stolen from the community center.
Street Closures – Wayfarer’s Foot Race
A number of streets in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County will be closed during the morning of Saturday, 06/01, for the Wayfarer’s half marathon and 10K. The events begin at 7am and all streets in downtown Annapolis will be open by 8:05am. Road closures in other areas of the city will last until 10:30am. A rolling closing and opening of streets in the city will begin at 7am with police directing traffic as first and last runners enter and exit the streets. Kids n Kaboodle
On Saturday, 06/01, the police department will be participating in this free community event organized by the Chesapeake Children’s Museum. The event features a book giveaway, arts and crafts and more. The event is 12pm to 4pm at Weems-Whelan Field at 931 Spa Rd. For more information visit http://www.theccm.org/workshops.html.
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 06/11, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
Canine Cruise
