At approximately 5:52 PM, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department's 911 call center began receiving multiple calls reporting a structure fire in the 1100 block of Tyler Avenue.
Three minutes later, first arriving City Fire Department units encountered a 24' x 30' detached garage well involved in fire. Fortunately, there were no immediate exposure issues to surrounding structures.
The fire was placed under control within 15 minutes, with no reported injuries. 35 personnel from 12 pieces of fire equipment responded from both the City of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Fire Department's. The incident's cause and origin is currently under investigation by Annapolis City Fire Investigators with no damage estimate available at this time.
