In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 103 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Destruction of Property – 201900002210 – 100-199 Taylor Av – 05/06 at 6:02pm: Officers inside the police station heard a vehicle enter the police department parking lot with its horn sounding and saw a Nissan sedan strike the security gates that prevent access to the rear of the police station. The 31 year old female driver exited the vehicle and was taken into custody. She was transported to an area hospital for precautionary reasons. Charges are pending for the driver for the damage to the security fence.
Prevent Vehicle Thefts & Thefts from Your Vehicle
There have been five vehicle thefts reported since 04/29. All five vehicles were left unlocked with keys inside. Officers recovered three of the vehicles the same days they were reported stolen. Arrests were made in two of the cases.

REMOVE ANY SPARE VEHICLE KEYS FROM INSIDE YOUR VEHICLES. Stow your electronics and accessories well out of sight-or better yet, bring it with you. Even sunglasses and coins can attract thieves. Report suspicious activity to the Annapolis Police Department immediately, CALL 410-268-4141 or 9-1-1.
