In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 108 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
Shooting – 201900002009 – 00-99 Bens Dr – 04/24 at 2:18pm: Officers responded for reports of a shooting and located a 21 year old male victim suffering from a gun shot wound to his arm. The man was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Detectives are investigating this incident. The shooting is believed to have occurred outside on Bens Dr. We urge anyone with information to contact our detectives at 410-260-3439 or submit an anonymous tip through Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP.
Theft of Packages – 201900002013 – 1100-1199 Pinemont Pl – 04/24 from 6pm to 6:30pm: Two packages were stolen after they were delivered to the door step of an apartment.
Stolen Vehicle – 201900002014 – 100-199 Gibralter Av – 04/24 from 6:30am to 7:20pm: A dark blue 2003 Jeep Liberty, MD reg. 5CX1778, was stolen when it was left unlocked with the keys inside.
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for Coffee with a Cop Friday, April 26 from 7am to 9am at Zu Coffee in the Bay Forest Center at 934 Bay Ridge Rd. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at the location. Meet Officer Angelo Watson the new Ward contact officer for Wards 5, 6, 7 and 8. The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.
National Drug Take Back Day
On Saturday, 04/27, from 10am to 2pm the Annapolis Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its 17th opportunity in seven years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to the Annapolis Police Department at 199 Taylor Avenue. (Sites cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps or aerosols/inhalers, only pills, patches, lotions and creams. Anne Arundel County Police Department’s District Stations and Headquarters have sharps disposal boxes.) The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
