West Street Fatal Accident

Motor Vehicle #1:  2004 Chevrolet Cavalier two door sedan

Driver of Motor Vehicle #1:  Kimberly Kiriou, 59, of Baltimore

Injuries:  Fatal

Motor Vehicle #2:  2018 Ford F-150 four door pick up truck

Driver of Motor Vehicle #2:  Brett Edwards, 23, of Glen Burnie

Injuries:  Minor

Officers from the Annapolis Police Department are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving two vehicles.

At 7:59 a.m. officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on West Street near 2004 West Street. Preliminary investigations indicate the driver of the Chevrolet Cavalier was leaving the driveway of the Dunkin’ Donuts and turning east on to West Street. The Ford F150 was traveling west on West Street. The Ford F150 struck the Chevrolet Cavalier on the driver’s side. The driver of the Ford F150 suffered minor injuries and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center. The driver of the Chevrolet, Kimberly Kiriou, suffered life threatening injuries and died after being transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center.
