In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 120 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Burglary – 201900001832 – 900-999 Primrose Rd – 04/13 from 6pm to 6:10pm: A purse was stolen from an apartment when the resident left the apartment door unlocked to visit the laundry room in the building.
Theft of Bicycle – 201900001883 – 100-199 Spa View Av – 04/17 from 7:40pm to 8:10pm: A black Haro Shredder BMX style bicycle was stolen from the front yard of a home. Witnesses reported seeing two male subjects, one on a bicycle the other on foot. The male on foot stole the bicycle from the yard.
Theft of Bicycle – 201900001884 – 00-99 Stewart Av – 04/17 from 7:35pm to 7:55pm: A Cannondale bicycle was stolen from the covered portion of a driveway. Witnesses reported seeing two male subjects, one on a bicycle the other on foot. The male on foot stole the bicycle. One of the witnesses located the suspect on the stolen bicycle on Granada Av and yelled at him. The suspect abandoned the bicycle and fled on foot. The bicycle was returned to the owner.
Burglary – 201900001885 – 00-99 Southgate Av – 04/03 at 8am to 04/17 at 7pm: A home was entered while the resident was away. There were no signs of forced entry and it is unknown if anything was stolen. Witnesses reported seeing two male subjects, possibly juveniles in the backyard of the home on 04/17 at 6:45pm.
Theft from Porch – 201900001886 – 00-99 Steele Av – 04/17 at 9:10pm: An observant caller reported seeing a male suspect wearing a yellow and blue bomber style jacket steal a black duffel bag from a neighbor’s porch. The duffel bag has the name, Patrick Owen, printed on it.
Attempted Theft from Vehicle – 201900001887 – Maple Av at Glen Av - 04/17 at 9:30pm: An observant caller reported a group of five juvenile males walking and riding bicycles checking vehicle door handles. When one of the juveniles opened an unlocked vehicle’s door witnesses yelled at them to stop and the group fled the area.
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 04/23, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for Coffee with a Cop Friday, April 26 from 7am to 9am at Zu Coffee in the Bay Forest Center at 934 Bay Ridge Rd. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at the location. Meet Officer Angelo Watson the new Ward contact officer for Wards 5, 6, 7 and 8. The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.
National Drug Take Back Day
On Saturday, 04/27, from 10am to 2pm the Annapolis Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its 17th opportunity in seven years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to the Annapolis Police Department at 199 Taylor Avenue. (Sites cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps or aerosols/inhalers, only pills, patches, lotions and creams. Anne Arundel County Police Department’s District Stations and Headquarters have sharps disposal boxes.) The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
