In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 136 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
Theft of Package – 201900001756 – 700-799 South Cherry Grove Av – 03/27 from 5pm to 8pm: On 04/09 a theft was reported that occurred earlier. A package was stolen from outside the front door of a home after it was delivered.
Citizen Police Academy
The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to educate residents about their local police department. The Academy will start Monday, April 15 and meet from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on April 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20, June 3, 10, 17 and 24 at Annapolis Police Department, 199 Taylor Avenue. Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 04/23, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
National Drug Take Back Day
On Saturday, 04/27, from 10am to 2pm the Annapolis Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its 17th opportunity in seven years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to the Annapolis Police Department at 199 Taylor Avenue. (Sites cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps or aerosols/inhalers, only pills, patches, lotions and creams. Anne Arundel County Police Department’s District Stations and Headquarters have sharps disposal boxes.) The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
