In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 80 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800005592 – 500-599 Royal St – 12/25 at 7pm to 12/26 at 6am: A white tote bag was stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle.
Stolen Vehicle – 201800005593 – 600-699 Bywater Rd – 12/25 at 7pm to 12/26 at 6:30am: A champagne 2013 Dodge Caravan, MD reg. 6DF7477, was stolen when it was left unlocked with the key inside. The vehicle has Dallas Cowboys football team stickers on it.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800005606 – 100-199 Gorman St – 12/27 from 1:50am to 2:35am: A window to the vehicle was smashed and a purse left on the front seat was stolen.
Make a Plan to get Home Safely
‘Tis the season to be merry, but if you are making merry by drinking and driving, make a new plan. Make a plan for getting home safely before heading to your holiday party. If you see a suspected drunk driver, report it to the police by calling 410-268-4141 or 9-1-1.
City Offices Closed & No Citizen Fingerprinting
City offices will be closed Monday, 12/24, Tuesday, 12/25, and Tuesday, 01/01. Citizen fingerprinting will not be offered Monday, 12/24, and Monday, 12/31. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 01/07.
Food Drive for Local Schools & Community Centers
The Annapolis Police Department will be accepting donations of food to help stock Annapolis food pantries at schools and community centers from 12/05 to 01/01. We need peanut butter, jelly, canned chili, canned chicken, canned, tuna, boxed macaroni and cheese or cups, pasta, individual cereal boxes, oatmeal packets, fruit/applesauce cups and canned ravioli. Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted. You can drop off donations any time at the police department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
Cocoa with a Cop
Come and join us at the Miracle on Annapolis Street event on 12/30 from 11am to 3pm. Take a few minutes and get to know your local law enforcement team, even better let your kids know how approachable the police are, should they ever need help. Come sip Cocoa with a Cop!
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 01/15, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
