Theft of Bicycle – 201800005312 – 1700-1799 Forest Dr – 12/10 from 7:20am to 7:25am: A green Schwinn bicycle was stolen when it was left unsecured in the entry way of the business.
POSTPONED - Administrative Hearing Board – Public Viewing
The Annapolis Police Department conducts Administrative Hearing Boards at the request of police officers who dispute the outcome of Internal Affairs Investigations. In accordance with Annotated Code of Maryland, Public Safety Article, Section 3-107 (e)(1)(ii), “the hearing shall be open to the public, unless the Chief finds a hearing must be closed for good cause, including to protect a confidential informant, an undercover officer, or a child witness.” The hearing board scheduled to be held December 13 and 14 has been postponed. Holiday Toy Drive
The Annapolis Police Department is accepting new, unwrapped toys to be given to local children this Christmas. Drop off toys to us at 199 Taylor Av. Toys will be collected until 12/17. The toys will be given to We Care and Friends at the Stanton Center.
Food Drive for Local Schools & Community Centers
The Annapolis Police Department will be accepting donations of food to help stock Annapolis food pantries at schools and community centers from 12/05 to 01/01. We need peanut butter, jelly, canned chili, canned chicken, canned, tuna, boxed macaroni and cheese or cups, pasta, individual cereal boxes, oatmeal packets, fruit/applesauce cups and canned ravioli. Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted. You can drop off donations any time at the police department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
Cocoa with a Cop
Come and join us at Midnight Madness and the Miracle on Annapolis Street events. Midnight Madness is 12/13 and 12/20 and we will be outside on Main St between 6pm and 9pm to hand out free cups of hot chocolate to the community. Miracle on Annapolis Street is 12/30 from 11am to 3pm. Take a few minutes and get to know your local law enforcement team, even better let your kids know how approachable the police are, should they ever need help. Come sip Cocoa with a Cop!
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 01/15, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
