December 6, 13, and 20 – Cocoa with a Cop at Midnight Madness from 6pm to 9pm on Main Street – Enjoy a free cup of hot chocolate with your local police officers
December 30 – Cocoa with a Cop at Miracle on Annapolis Street from 11am to 3pm
In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 88 calls for service and arrested 11 people.
Burglary – 201800005092 – 900-999 Bay Ridge Rd – 11/21 at 1:30pm to 11/26 at 10:30am: The window to a construction trailer was forced open and a 50” Hitachi flat screen TV was stolen.
Robbery – 201800005109 – Forest Dr at Youngs Farm Rd – 11/26 at 3:30pm: On 11/27 a robbery was reported that occurred the day before. The 15 year old male victim reported he was walking in the area when five juvenile males knocked him to the ground and stole his coat. The five juvenile suspects, one 11 year old, two 12 year olds, one 13 year old and one 14 year old, all from Annapolis, were arrested and charged on juvenile citations with robbery. All five were released to their guardians.
Thefts of Packages – 201800005112, 5115 & 5116 – 700-799 Drake Way & 700-799 Pearson Point Rd – 11/27 from 3pm to 6pm: A resident on Drake Way interrupted a theft of packages from the front porch of a home on 11/27 at 3:30pm. The resident opened the front door of the home and saw an adult male suspect removing two packages just delivered from the front porch. The resident yelled at the suspect and he dropped the packages and fled the area on foot. Officers did not locate the suspect. Two other residents in the area reported that delivered packages or just their contents were stolen from their front porches.
Holiday Toy Drive
The Annapolis Police Department is accepting new, unwrapped toys to be given to local children this Christmas. Drop off toys to us at 199 Taylor Av. Toys will be collected until 12/17. The toys will be given to We Care and Friends at the Stanton Center.
Cocoa with a Cop
Come and join us at the Chocolate Binge Festival, Midnight Madness and Miracle on Annapolis Street events. The Chocolate Binge Festival is 12/02 from 12pm to 5pm in the first block of West St. Midnight Madness is 12/06, 12/13 and 12/20 and we will be outside between 6pm and 9pm to hand out free cups of hot chocolate to the community. Miracle on Annapolis Street is 12/30 from 11am to 3pm. Take a few minutes and get to know your local law enforcement team, even better let your kids know how approachable the police are, should they ever need help. Come sip Cocoa with a Cop!
