UPDATE - HOMICIDE - Shooting Reported in Annapolis


On October 30th at 7:48 p.m. officers responded to the unit block of Bens Drive for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male victim outside. The man appeared to have been shot. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
 
Detectives are investigating this incident. This is an active and fluid investigation and we urge anyone with information about this incident to contact the detectives at 410-260-3439. You can also call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP and submit an anonymous tip.  If your tip leads to an arrest or indictment you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.

The victim in this shooting died from his injuries after being transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim has been identified as Kory Johnson, 27, of Annapolis.
 
Detectives are actively investigating this death as a homicide. We are asking for assistance from the community. Anyone with information is urged to contact our detectives at 410-260-3439.
