In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 132 calls for service and arrested 6 people.   
 
Burglary – 201800004314 – 00-99 Melrob Ct – 10/09 at 11pm to 10/10 at 11:10am: A cell phone was stolen from an apartment. There were no signs of forced entry to the apartment.
 
Theft of Bicycle – 201800004328 – 00-99 Murray Av – 10/05 from 6am to 8pm: A light blue Giant mountain bicycle was stolen from the foyer of an apartment building.

 
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 10/16, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.

 
Neighborhood Safety Meeting - RESCHEDULED
The next Neighborhood Safety meeting will be held, Tuesday, 10/23, from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue. Officer Sullivan will give a short presentation on mass shootings. This is a preview of a longer seminar that Officer Sullivan can present to groups upon request. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting.  As always we will be going over the current crime trends in Annapolis.  Food will be served so please RSVP to Sergeant Amy Miguez at 410-268-9000 ext. 7261 or amiguez@annapolis.gov.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
