In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 117 calls for service and arrested 6 people.
Burglary – 201800004293 – 700-799 Tyler Av – 10/09 at 10:19am: An observant caller reported seeing a male suspect in the backyard of a home holding a black backpack or duffel bag. Officers arrived and discovered that a rear window screen on the home had been damaged and removed and the window itself was open. The owner arrived home with a house key and officers searched inside the home for the suspect. The suspect was not inside the home. The owner reported that jewelry and a folding knife were stolen from the home.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800004289 – 00-99 Heritage Ct – 10/07 at 9pm to 10/09 at 7:30am: A backpack was stolen from the open bed of a pick up truck. The owner located the backpack behind the residences and the only item not recovered is a folding knife in a black Harley Davidson case.
Theft of Dirt Bike – 201800004298 – 1300-1399 Tyler Av – 10/07 at 8am to 10/09 at 7:30am: A black Honda CR125 dirt bike with a Monster Energy sticker on the side was stolen.
Stolen Vehicle – 201800004300 – 1800-1899 Forest Dr – 10/08 at 4pm to 10/09 at 2pm: A 2013 15’ U-Haul box truck, AZ reg. AE83637, was stolen.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800004304 – 700-799 Childs Point Rd – 10/08 at 9pm to 10/09 at 4:40pm: Money was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800004310 – 2200-2299 Bay Ridge Av – 10/09 at 7:40pm: A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle when the owner was paying for gas at the cashier’s window. She asked a man standing in the area if he took her purse and he fled on foot towards Bay Ridge Av. She discovered her purse near where the man had been standing.
Theft of Bicycle – 201800004306 – 600-699 Americana Dr – 10/08 to 10/09: A black Fyxation Eastside bicycle was stolen. The owner left the bicycle secured to a rail in the hallway of an apartment building. Management removed the bicycle and placed it in a storage area. The bicycle was stolen from the storage area.
Neighborhood Safety Meeting
The next Neighborhood Safety meeting will be held, Wednesday, 10/10, from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue. Officer Sullivan will give a short presentation on mass shootings. This is a preview of a longer seminar that Officer Sullivan can present to groups upon request. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting. As always we will be going over the current crime trends in Annapolis. Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 10/16, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
