In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 275 calls for service and 8 people were arrested.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800003792 – 00-99 Madison Pl – 09/08 at 7:30pm to 09/09 at 9am: Money was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Stolen Vehicle – 201800003794 – 00-99 Northwest St – 07/11: A blue 2005 Dodge Caravan, MD reg. VZS8708, was stolen when it was left unlocked with the key inside. The owner reports that she left her vehicle there before going on vacation and only discovered it was stolen at the end of August.
Shots Fired & Handgun Arrest – 201800003799 – 00-99 Clay St - 09/10 at 12:17am: Officers responded for a report of shots fired and walked the area on foot to locate possible suspects or evidence of a crime. Officers encountered two men in the area and recovered a loaded handgun from one of the men’s jacket pocket. Nelson Robinson, 19, of Annapolis was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed handgun and being a minor in possession of a regulated firearm. Robinson was released on his own recognizance by the District Court Commissioner.
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Monday, September 10 from 2pm to 4pm at Starbucks located at 951 Bay Ridge Rd. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks. We also have a Coffee with a Cop scheduled at the Annapolis Library at Monarch Academy located at 2000 Capital Dr on Wednesday, September 26 from 12pm to 1pm. The officers will be at both locations to say hi and answer questions.

Citizen Police Academy – DATE CHANGE
The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to educate residents about their local police department. The Academy will start Wednesday, September 26 and meet from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on September 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, November 7, 14, 28 and December 5 at Annapolis Police Department, 199 Taylor Avenue.
