In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 339 calls for service and arrested 14 people.   
 
Theft-201800003524-700 block Caleb Ln-On 8/24/18 sometime after 3:30pm a black Haro Backtrail X2 bicycle was stolen from the yard of a residence.
 
Theft-201800003527-400 block Bay Water Ln-On 8/24/18 at approx 9pm a blue or black in color bicycle was stolen from a residence.
 
Theft-201800003528-100 block Chesapeake Ave- Sometime between 9pm on 8/20/18 and 10am on 8/21/18 a red and black Schwinn bicycle was stolen from the yard of a residence.
 
Burglary-201800003541-1300 block Tyler Ave- On 8/25/18 at approx 1156 hrs unknown suspects forced entry into a home and caused damage to property inside.
 
Theft-201800003543-300 block Dewey Dr- Sometime between 9pm on 8/22/18 and 7am on 8/23/18 a pink girl’s bicycle was stolen from the driveway of a residence.
 
Theft-201800003546-Downtown Annapolis-On 8/22/18 sometime between 3pm and 5:30pm property was stolen from the victim’s purse while she was shopping in downtown Annapolis. The exact location the theft occurred is unknown at this time.
 
Theft-201800003547-700 block Caleb Ln-On 8/24/18 sometime between 12:30pm and 4:50pm a gray, black, and red Nishiki Pueblo bicycle was stolen from the yard of a residence.
 
Theft from Vehicle-201800003548-Unit block Streamwood Ct- Sometime between 8/24/18 at 9pm and 8/25/18 at 3pm property was taken from a vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.
 
Burglary-201800003549-Unit block Boxwood Rd-On 8/22/18 sometime between 7am and 4pm unknown person(s) removed property from the residence. No signs of forced entry.
 
Attempt Burglary-201800003553-700 block Rosedale St-On 8/24/18 sometime between 7:45 pm and 11:05 pm unknown person(s) attempted to force entry into a residence. Entry was not gained and no items were taken.
 
Shooting-201800003559-Unit block Northwest St-On August 26th at 3:24 a.m. officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a shooting victim in the emergency room. Officers spoke to an adult male shooting victim and learned the shooting occurred in the unit block of Northwest St. The man was alert and conscious, but suffering from a graze wound. There is no further information available at this time.   
 
Theft-201800003560-300 block Burnside St-Sometime between 8/24/18 at 11pm and 8/26/18 at 3am a red Mongoose bicycle was stolen from the address.
 
Theft from Vehicle-201800003564-200 block Hanover St-On 6/29/18 at an unknown time property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
 
 Theft from Vehicle-201800003566-1800 block Copeland St-Sometime between 10pm on 8/25/18 and 2pm on 8/26/18 unknown person(s) removed the rear registration plate from a vehicle.
 
Theft-201800003572-1407 Forest Dr-On 8/26/18 at approx 4:11pm the victim’s wallet was stolen while the victim was in the 1400 block of Forest Dr.
 
Theft-201800003576-800 block Boucher Ave-On 8/26/18 at approx 8:36 pm two juvenile suspects removed money from a tip jar. The juveniles were located in the area and arrested.
 
Eastport Working Together 
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 08/28, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
 
No Citizen Fingerprinting in August
There will be no citizen fingerprinting offered in August or Monday, 09/03. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 09/10, at 6:30pm.
 
Cookies with a Cop
Join us for Cookies with a Cop, Tuesday, September 18 at 10:30am at the Annapolis Library at Monarch Academy located at 2000 Capital Dr. Bring your children to meet an Annapolis officer. Learn about their job, listen to stories, make crafts and munch on a cookie.
 
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Monday, September 10 from 2pm to 4pm at Starbucks located at 951 Bay Ridge Rd. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks.  We also have a Coffee with a Cop scheduled at the Annapolis Library at Monarch Academy located at 2000 Capital Dr on Wednesday, September 26 from 10am to 11am. The officers will be at both locations to say hi and answer questions.
 
Citizen Police Academy
The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to educate residents about their local police department. The Academy will start Wednesday, September 26 and meet from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on September 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7 and 14 at Annapolis Police Department, 199 Taylor Avenue. Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
