In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 97 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Theft of Bicycles – 201800003514 – Unit Block of Cobay Dr – On 08/23 from 8pm to 9 pm: Two bicycles were stolen from an unsecured garage. The following is a description of the bicycles: 24” Woom, red and white and color and a 20” Razor, silver in color.
Theft – 201800003512 – Unit Block of Bay Ridge Ave – On 08/23 at 7:30pm: Unknown subjects stole money from a tip jar located on the counter.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800003510 – Unit Block of Obery Ct – Between 08/14 at 12pm to 08/21 at 9am: A handicap placard was stolen from vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800003509 – Unit Block of Juliana Circle – 08/22 at 11pm to 08/23 at 1:30pm: Loose change, currency and credit cards were stolen from an unsecured vehicle.
Critically Missing Person – 201800003508 – 1100 Block of Marda Lane – 08/9: Charles Kaufman, Caucasian Male, 27yo, 5’10”, 145 lbs with blue eyes and short, ear length brown hair. He has a sleeve of tattoos on his right forearm and another tattoo on the inside of his left forearm. He was last seen 08/09 in the 1100 block of Marda La. Family members are concerned for Charles Kaufman’s welfare and have reported him missing. There are factors which make Charles Kaufman a critically missing person. Burglary - 201800003505 – Unit Block of Juliana Circle – 08/22 at 10pm to 08/23 at 7am: The victim reports his unsecured home was burglarized. Vehicle keys and the vehicle, a Sony Play Station and four Play Station games were stolen. The stolen vehicle has since been recovered at a location nearby.
Theft from Vehicle - 201800003507 – Unit Block of Harness Creek – 08/22 at 7pm to 08/23 at 7:30am: A cup full of change valued at approximately $15.00 was stolen from an unsecured vehicle parked in the driveway.
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 08/28, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
No Citizen Fingerprinting in August
There will be no citizen fingerprinting offered in August or Monday, 09/03. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 09/10, at 6:30pm.
Cookies with a Cop
Join us for Cookies with a Cop, Tuesday, September 18 at 10:30am at the Annapolis Library at Monarch Academy located at 2000 Capital Dr. Bring your children to meet an Annapolis officer. Learn about their job, listen to stories, make crafts and munch on a cookie.
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Monday, September 10 from 2pm to 4pm at Starbucks located at 951 Bay Ridge Rd. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks. We also have a Coffee with a Cop scheduled at the Annapolis Library at Monarch Academy located at 2000 Capital Dr on Wednesday, September 26 from 10am to 11am. The officers will be at both locations to say hi and answer questions.
Citizen Police Academy
The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to educate residents about their local police department. The Academy will start Wednesday, September 26 and meet from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on September 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7 and 14 at Annapolis Police Department, 199 Taylor Avenue.
