In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 95 calls for service and arrested 3 people.   
 
Theft - 201800003485 – 1000 Block of West St – 08/21at 6:30pm:  An unknown subject stole credit cards from an unsecured wallet from a place of business while the attendant was servicing a vehicle. 
 
Attempted Theft from Vehicle - 201800003484 – Unit Block of Hanover St – 08/20at 5pm to 08/21 at 7:30am:  An unlocked parked vehicle was rummaged through.  The victim reported nothing appeared missing.
 
Theft from Vehicle - 201800003476 – Unit Block of Sherwood Rd – 08/20at 7:30pm to 08/21 at 8am:  A tower for a computer was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. 

Theft  – 201800003477 – 1000 Block of West St – 08/15at 10am to 08/05 at 11:30am:  Victim reported the theft of a credit card that was left in an unlocked locker at a business. 
 
Road Closures and Delays - Annapolis 10 Mile Run
Prepare for road closures and delays in Annapolis on Sunday, 08/19, between 6:45am and 9:30am. The Annapolis 10 Mile Run will start at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and roads will be closed on a rolling basis in that area, downtown Annapolis, and surrounding the Naval Academy Bridge. Eastport Working Together 
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, 08/28, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
 
No Citizen Fingerprinting in August
There will be no citizen fingerprinting offered in August or Monday, 09/03. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 09/10, at 6:30pm.
 
Cookies with a Cop
Join us for Cookies with a Cop, Tuesday, September 18 at 10:30am at the Annapolis Library at Monarch Academy located at 2000 Capital Dr. Bring your children to meet an Annapolis officer. Learn about their job, listen to stories, make crafts and munch on a cookie.
 
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Monday, September 10 from 2pm to 4pm at Starbucks located at 951 Bay Ridge Rd. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks.  We also have a Coffee with a Cop scheduled at the Annapolis Library at Monarch Academy located at 2000 Capital Dr on Wednesday, September 26 from 10am to 11am. The officers will be at both locations to say hi and answer questions.
 
Citizen Police Academy
The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to educate residents about their local police department. The Academy will start Wednesday, September 26 and meet from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on September 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7 and 14 at Annapolis Police Department, 199 Taylor Avenue. Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips. You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
