August 8 – Neighborhood Safety Meeting – 199 Taylor Av
In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 124 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
Stolen Motorcycle – 201800003238 – 1000-1099 Spa Rd – 07/25 at 6am to 08/03 at 2pm: A green 2015 Kawasaki Ninja 300, TX reg. 250V3X, was stolen. There is a sticker on the left fairing of the treelike character Groot.
Shooting – 201800003256 – 1700-1799 Forest Dr – 08/07 at 9:01pm: Officers responded for a report of shots fired and located an adult male victim, employed as a security guard at a business in the area. The man had a graze wound to his chest and he was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At this time it appears two groups of men outside exchanged gun fire. The victim, who was also outside, was grazed by a bullet. It is unknown at this time if the victim was an intended target. The suspects are not known at this time. This is an active and fluid investigation and we urge anyone with information about this incident to contact Detective Chuck Bealefeld at 443-986-5561. You can also call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP and submit an anonymous tip. If your tip leads to an arrest or indictment you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
Neighborhood Safety Meeting
The next Neighborhood Safety meeting will be held, Wednesday, 08/08, from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue. Lt. Thomas from Anne Arundel County Police Department will be talking about warning signs of suicide in teens and adults and effective prevention strategies. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting. No Citizen Fingerprinting in August
There will be no citizen fingerprinting offered in August or Monday, 09/03. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 09/10, at 6:30pm.
