August 1 - Coffee with a Cop - 122 Main St (Starbucks)

 
In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 125 calls for service and arrested 6 people.   
 
Burglary – 201800003037 – 100-199 Hillsmere Dr – 07/26 from 7:55am to 8:25am: Money was stolen after the business was entered through an unlocked door.
 
Stolen Vehicle – 201800003045 – 00-99 Gentry Ct – 07/25 at 2:30pm to 07/26 at 7:45pm: A blue 2003 Toyota Highlander, MD reg. 7CY8907, was stolen.

 
Sailor’s Triathlon and Annapolis Rising Concert
There will be road closures in Annapolis on Saturday, 07/28, due to two events scheduled for that day. The Annapolis Sailor’s Triathlon is scheduled to begin at 6:30am and will involve road closures between the City Dock and Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and between the stadium and the RT 450/Naval Academy Bridge. For more information about this event and road closures visit http://www.sailorstriathlon.com/. The Annapolis Rising concert will close Calvert St between West St and Northwest St from 5am to 10pm. Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Wednesday, August 1 from 9am to 11am at Starbucks located at 122 Main Street. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks.  The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.

 
No Citizen Fingerprinting in August
There will be no citizen fingerprinting offered in August or Monday, 09/03. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 09/10, at 6:30pm.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips.

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
