August 1 - Coffee with a Cop - 122 Main St (Starbucks)

 
In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 284 calls for service and arrested 18 people.   
 
Theft from Vehicle and Stolen Vehicle – 201800002940 – 00-99 Alder Rd – 07/19 at 9pm to 07/20 at 6:40am: A grey 2003 Toyota 4Runner, MD reg. A038490, was stolen after the spare key to the vehicle was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked near by.
 
Theft from Vehicle – 201800002943 – 00-99 Dock St – 07/20 at 1:50pm: An observant caller reported seeing a male suspect enter an unlocked vehicle parked in the area. The suspect left the area and officers did not locate him. The owner arrived back to the vehicle and reported money was stolen from the vehicle.

 
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Wednesday, August 1 from 9am to 11am at Starbucks located at 122 Main Street. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks.  The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.

 
No Citizen Fingerprinting in August
There will be no citizen fingerprinting offered in August or Monday, 09/03. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, 09/10, at 6:30pm.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips.
You can also call a tip into us directly at 410-280-CLUE (2583).

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
