Preventing Thefts at Athletic Clubs and Yoga Studios
We had two thefts from yoga studios located on West St reported yesterday, 07/18. In both cases unattended wallets were stolen and credit cards charges were made shortly after the thefts. In one case a man came into the studio asking about massage services, in the other a man went so far as to sign into a class before committing the theft and leaving. There are occasional thefts at athletic clubs and yoga studios in Annapolis. Usually these thefts occur when items are left in unlocked lockers or other unsecured areas. If you are going to a club or studio with lockers be sure to bring a lock to secure your valuables inside a locker while you are working out or attending a class. If you are going to a club or studio without lockers store valuables in the trunk of your locked car before you get there and only take what you can keep with you into the business.
