August 1 - Coffee with a Cop - 122 Main St (Starbucks)


 
In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 351 calls for service and arrested 10 people.   
 
Theft of Package - 201800002822 - 300-399 Forbes St - 07/12 at 2:50pm to 07/13: A package was stolen after it was delivered to the outside of a home by UPS.
 
Burglary - 201800002829 - 00-99 Hilltop Ct - 07/13 from 12:30pm to 4:30pm: A door to the home was forced open and an Apple iPad was stolen.
 
Theft of Bicycle - 201800002831 - 900-999 Windsor Av - 07/13 from 7:30am to 5:30pm: A cream women's Nadine 7 speed bicycle was stolen from the front porch of a home.
 
Burglary - 201800002838 - 1300-1399 Forest Dr - Prior to 07/14 at 12:02am: The door to the home was forced open and a handgun and the portable gun safe it was in were stolen.
 
Theft from Vehicle - 201800002841 - 400-499 Captains Circle - 07/13 at 5pm to 07/14 at 6:30am: A window to the vehicle was smashed and the vehicle's registration was stolen.
                                                       
Stolen Vehicle - 201800002845 - 00-99 Bens Dr - 07/14 from 12am to 11:45am: A green 2000 Jeep Cherokee, MD reg. 14751HT, was stolen.

Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Wednesday, August 1 from 9am to 11am at Starbucks located at 122 Main Street. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks.  The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland


Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips.

Watch Your Car Program:  The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft.  A small sticker will be placed on your rear window.  This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.  For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
