June 19 – Annapolis Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition – 199 Taylor Av
In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 129 calls for service and arrested 2 people.
Stolen Vehicle – 201800002375 – 800-899 Monroe St - 06/17 at 10pm to 06/18 at 9am: A grey 2007 Dodge Caravan, MD reg. 5CY8015, was stolen after it was left unlocked with the key inside.
Attempted Theft from Vehicle – 201800002380 – 00-99 Juliana Circle – 06/17 at 6pm to 06/18 at 1:30pm: A window to the vehicle was smashed and the vehicle contents were moved around, but nothing was stolen.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800002381 – 700-799 Rosedale St – 06/17 at 11pm to 06/18 at 9am: Prescription medication was stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle.
Annapolis Substance Abuse and Prevention (ASAP) Coalition
ASAP Coalition is holding its monthly meeting on 06/19 at 12pm at APD, 199 Taylor Av. The mission of the coalition is to facilitate healthy community change to prevent and reduce alcohol and opioid use among youth and young adults through locally led collaborations and evidence-based prevention strategies. Anyone with an interest in promoting public health, safety and wellness for Annapolis families and community members is welcome to attend. Lunch is provided. Pride Walk
On Tuesday, 06/19, starting at 4pm the Mayor will lead a Pride Walk from City Hall on Duke of Gloucester St to an event at the Loews Hotel on West St. The Walk will begin at 160 Duke of Gloucester St proceed along Green St, around the Market House, up Main St around Church Circle and down West St to 126 West St. Participants are expected to remain on the sidewalks but traffic may be delayed on Main St and West St as the Walk moves through the area.
Emergency Preparedness Exercise
The City of Annapolis will conduct an emergency response to an active assailant exercise on Friday, 06/22, at 10am at the St. Mary’s school campus on Duke of Gloucester St in Annapolis.
Duke of Gloucester St from Green St to Compromise St will be closed from 10am to 11am and a detour will be set up to route traffic down Green St. The exercise will take place at various locations throughout the school campus. Residents should be aware that real life sights and sounds may be seen and heard along the periphery of the campus and a variety of emergency response vehicles will be in the area.
