In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 117 calls for service and arrested 3 people.
Thefts from Vehicles – 201800002150, 2151, 2159 - 00-99 Tiburon Ct, 00-99 Muir Woods Ct, and 00-99 Youngs Farm Ct – 06/04 at 10pm to 06/05 at 7am: An unlocked vehicle was entered on Tiburon Ct but nothing was stolen. Money and an Apple iPod Nano were stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle on Muir Woods Ct. A backpack was stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle on Youngs Farm Ct. A locked vehicle with a keypad door entry system also parked on Youngs Farm Ct was found with a door handle pulled out, but entry was not gained. On 06/05 at 10pm an observant caller reported a backpack abandoned behind a business at 1400-1499 Forest Dr. Officers responded and identified the backpack as the one stolen from the vehicle on Youngs Farm Ct. The backpack was returned to its owner.
Indecent Exposure – 201800002164 – 1100-1199 Cove Rd – 06/05 at 9pm: The adult female victim was inside a residence when she looked out a window and saw a man standing outside looking into the residence while exposing his genitals. The man fled when noticed and officers responded, but did not locate him. The suspect is described as an African American male with a muscular build, last seen wearing all dark clothing, white sneakers, and ear buds in his ears.
Make Safe Happen Day
On Saturday, June 9, the police department will be participating in this free community event organized by Calvary United Methodist Church. The event features numerous organizations focused on safety, including the fire department and the American Red Cross.
