In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 97 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
UPDATE Theft of Bicycle – 201800002051 – 100-199 Dock St – 05/28 at 5:15pm: A bright green Trek 3500 mountain bicycle with black stripes and white block letters was stolen when it was left unlocked and unattended outside a business. On 06/04 officers were in the 1300 block of Tyler Av handling an unrelated incident with a 16 year old male from Annapolis. The juvenile was preparing to leave the area and grabbed a green Trek bicycle that the officers recognized as the stolen bicycle from Dock St. Officers confirmed it was the stolen bicycle by checking the serial number and the juvenile was arrested and charged as a juvenile with theft and possession of stolen property. He was released to a guardian.
Make Safe Happen Day
On Saturday, June 9, the police department will be participating in this free community event organized by Calvary United Methodist Church. The event features numerous organizations focused on safety, including the fire department and the American Red Cross.
