In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 129 calls for service and arrested 5 people.

There are no preventable Part One offenses to report this morning. Part One offenses are those incidents we report to the MD State Police and the F.B.I. These incidents include homicides, robberies, burglaries, rapes, serious assaults, and thefts.

Annapolis Traffic Delays Expected May 23 and 25
Traffic congestion is expected in Annapolis on Wednesday, May 23, and Friday, May 25, due to the Blue Angels flight demonstration and the U.S. Naval Academy graduation ceremony. City Offices Closed & No Citizen Fingerprinting
City government offices will be closed on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day. Also, no citizen fingerprinting is offered on Monday, May 28. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, June 4 at 6:30pm.

Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, May 29, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Join us to learn more about the upcoming community dinner and peace march. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.

Active Assailant Panel Discussion
Leadership Anne Arundel and Anne Arundel Community College are presenting an Active Assailant Panel Discussion on May 30, from 7pm to 9pm at Anne Arundel Community College, 101 College Parkway, Arnold, MD – Thomas E. Florestano Building, Room 101. Use the west campus entrance and park in lot E. This is a free event to gain information, understand situations, and ask questions. Make Safe Happen Day
On Saturday, June 9, the police department will be participating in this free community event organized by Calvary United Methodist Church. The event features numerous organizations focused on safety, including the fire department and the American Red Cross. Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips.

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership.
