In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 111 calls for service and arrested 5 people.

Theft – 201800001621 – 600 block of Severn Island Ct – 04/30 from 8am to 5:15pm: A red Honda power washer and a red gas powered grass trimmer were stolen from under the rear porch of a home. The items were stored under a tarp, but were not secured.

Theft – 201800001629 – Unit block of Spa View Circle – 04/27 from 4pm to 4:30pm: A grey Honda push lawn mower was stolen after it was left unattended on the sidewalk.

Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, May 8, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Join us to start planning a community dinner and peace march. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.

Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Monday, May 14 from 4pm to 6pm at Starbucks located at 122 Main Street. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks. The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.

Kids to Parks Day
Annapolis Recreation and Parks is taking part in the 8^th annual National Park Trust Kids to Parks Day on May 19 from 9am to 5pm at various locations in Truxtun Park. This is a free event. Annapolis police officers will be assisting with several activities throughout the day including fishing and bike safety. For more information contact Annapolis Recreation and Parks at 410-263-7958.

Run for the Dogs in Blue 5K Run and Walk
Chesapeake K-9 Fund is holding its second annual 5K run and walk to support local law enforcement K-9 units, including the one here at the Annapolis Police Department. The event is held at Quiet Waters Park on Sunday, May 20, race day registration starts at 7:30am. For more information visit http://bit.ly/2I9SY6l.

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Submitting Anonymous Tips to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is an organization separate from the Annapolis Police Department. When you phone in or submit your Annapolis crime tip online or through the P3 Tips smartphone app Metro Crime Stoppers receives your tip anonymously and only forwards your tip information to the Annapolis Police Department. No identifying information is ever forwarded to us. Metro Crime Stoppers uses a special coding system to protect your identity, they do not use Caller ID or record telephone conversations. If your tip leads to the arrest or indictment of a person for a felony you could qualify for up to a $2,000 cash reward from Metro Crime Stoppers. You can submit a tip by calling 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), visiting www.metrocrimestoppers.org, or through the P3 Tips smartphone app. The app can be found in the Apple or Android app stores by searching for P3 Tips.

Watch Your Car Program: The Watch Your Car Program helps prevent vehicle theft. A small sticker will be placed on your rear window. This sticker alerts officers nationwide that your vehicle is not normally driven during the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. The vehicle may be stopped to verify ownership. For more information about the program contact us at police@annapolis.gov.
