In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 95 calls for service and arrested 4 people.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800001558 – Unit block of Mooring Point Ct – 04/26 from 12am to 5:30am: Hand tools and wiper blades were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Burglary – 201800001565 – Unit block of Ironstone Ct – 04/26 from 8:30am to 2:30pm: Two computers and an Apple iPad were stolen.
Theft of Bicycle – 201800001571 – 700 block of Rosedale St – 04/22 at 3pm to 04/25 at 7:30am: A blue 21 speed women’s Schwinn mountain bicycle was stolen. The bicycle was locked to a fence, a board in the fence was broken to steal the bike.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800001572 – 1800 block of Copeland St – 04/25 from 9am to 4pm: The registration was stolen from the glove box of an apparently unlocked vehicle.
National Drug Take Back Event
On Saturday, 04/28, from 10am to 2pm the Annapolis Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its 15th opportunity in seven years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to the Annapolis Police Department at 199 Taylor Avenue. (The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches.) The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
For more information about the disposal of prescription drugs or about the April 28th Take Back Day event, go to the DEA Diversion website. The Annapolis Police Department also has a permanently installed medication disposal box in our lobby. This disposal box is open normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm excluding holidays.
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, May 8, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Join us to start planning a community dinner and peace march. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Monday, May 14 from 4pm to 6pm at Starbucks located at 122 Main Street. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks. The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.

Kids to Parks Day
Annapolis Recreation and Parks is taking part in the 8th annual National Park Trust Kids to Parks Day on May 19 from 9am to 5pm at various locations in Truxtun Park. This is a free event. Run for the Dogs in Blue 5K Run and Walk
Chesapeake K-9 Fund is holding its second annual 5K run and walk to support local law enforcement K-9 units, including the one here at the Annapolis Police Department.
