In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 340 calls for service and arrested 12 people.
Burglary - 201800001384 - 500 block of Burnside St – 04/13 at 7:40pm: Officers responded for a report of a man looking into the windows of homes on Burnside St. Officers arrived and checked the area and another resident in the area reported the same man ran through his backyard. Officers located the man, but he fled from them, jumping a fence and hiding in the crawl space underneath a home in the 600 block of Creek View Dr. The suspect was located and identified as Christopher Droll, 24, of Annapolis. Droll was arrested and charged with fourth degree burglary. He was released by the District Court Commissioner.
Recovered Handgun - 201800001388 - Unit block of West Washington St – 04/14 at 2:20am: Officers responded to the area for a report of a fight and a subject possibly armed with an illegally carried handgun. As officers arrived they received information that the firearm had been discarded in the area. Officers located the loaded handgun along a fence line in the parking lot where the fight had been. No suspect was located. The firearm’s serial number was checked and it was found to have been reported stolen in Arizona.
Theft from Vehicle - 201800001411 - 400 block of Hammond Pl - 04/14 at 7pm to 4/15 at 8:30pm: A smart wristwatch was stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle.
Coffee with a Cop
Join us for the next Coffee with a Cop, Tuesday, April 17 from 4pm to 6pm at Starbucks located at 122 Main Street. Drop in anytime during the two hours officers will be at Starbucks. The officers are there to say hi and answer questions.
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, April 17, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Join us to start planning a community dinner and peace march. Community service hours are available for HACA residents.
James Brice House Community Day
On Saturday, April 21, the police department will be participating in this free community event organized by Historic Annapolis. The event features Bob and the Builder and is 10am to 3pm at the James Brice House located at 42 East Street. For more information visit www.annapolis.org.
