Suspicious Package

(Annapolis, MD) At 1:42 pm this afternoon, Units from Annapolis Fire Department responded to a call for a reported suspicious package on the College Creek bridge. In the interest of public safety Rowe Blvd between College Avenue and Taylor Avenue were closed in both directions. Annapolis Fire & Explosives Services Unit (Bomb Team) arrived on location and deployed the Fire Explosives Services Robot, to assess the contents of the package. The package was determined to be non-hazardous and was rendered safe at 3:05 pm. The scene was cleared and turned over to Annapolis Police Department. There were no reported injuries to civilians of Fire Department Personnel. Rowe Blvd has reopened in both direction.
