In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 120 calls for service and arrested 5 people.
Theft from Vehicle – 201800000627 – 1000 block of Bay Ridge Av – 02/19 from 6:45am to 7:20am: A window to the vehicle was shattered and a grey Longchamp purse was stolen.
Stolen Trailer – 201800000650 – 1900 block of Lincoln Dr – 02/06 at 8am to 02/17 at 8am: A black 2013 Griffin utility trailer with MD reg. 058188X was stolen from an unsecured lot.
Robbery – 201800000656 – 100 block of Clay St – 02/20 at 9:40pm: An adult female victim reported that a man she knows assaulted her, grabbed her purse, and stole money and a cell phone. Through investigation Christopher Stewart, 25, of Annapolis was identified as the suspect. A warrant was obtained for Stewart and he was arrested on 02/21 at 12am in the unit block of West Washington St. Stewart was charged with robbery, assault, and theft and is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, February 27, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Food will be provided and community service hours are available for HACA residents.
Citizen Police Academy
The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to educate residents about their local police department. The Academy will start Wednesday, March 7 and meet from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on March 7, 14, 21, April 4, 11, 18, 25 and May 2 at Annapolis Police Department, 199 Taylor Avenue.
