In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 112 calls for service and arrested 9 people.
Assault Arrest – 201800000448 – 1000 block of Primrose Rd on 02/06 at 8:10pm: On 02/04 at 11:15pm an adult male victim arrived at Anne Arundel Medical Center with apparent stab wounds to his abdomen. The victim was assaulted in the unit block of Parole St. Through investigation detectives identified Colby Wilson, 26, of Annapolis as the suspect in this assault and obtained an arrest warrant for him. On 02/06 at 8:10pm officers arrested Wilson in Annapolis. Wilson was charged with attempted first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault and reckless endangerment. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
Stolen & Recovered Vehicle – 201800000470 – 900 block of West St – 02/06 at 3:40pm: A 2005 Ford pick up truck was stolen when it was left with the engine running, key in the ignition, and the doors unlocked. At 4:20pm Cambridge Police Department notified us that they recovered the vehicle and arrested the driver, Lyev Akselrod, 26, of Germantown.
Eastport Working Together
Harbour House and Eastport Terrace residents, Eastport neighbors, and government and community leaders are invited to attend an Eastport Working Together meeting on Tuesday, February 13, at 6:30pm at the Rosalie Mitchell Community Center, 1014 President St. Everyone is welcome. Food will be provided and community service hours are available for HACA residents.
Neighborhood Safety Meeting
The next Neighborhood Safety meeting will be held, Wednesday, February 14, from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting. The topic for this meeting is an overview of the new DARE Program officers have been teaching at Eastport Elementary School. This program will be expanding into several other Annapolis schools this Spring. If you cannot attend you can view the meeting on our Facebook Page, live or at your convenience. Citizen Police Academy
The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to educate residents about their local police department. The Academy will start Wednesday, March 7 and meet from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on March 7, 14, 21, April 4, 11, 18, 25 and May 2 at Annapolis Police Department, 199 Taylor Avenue.
